Last year’s treble winners will have the challenge of facing off against a squad that Sampdoria’s Antonio Cassano recently proclaimed would win the Scudetto this upcoming season. Juve have yet to truly deserve they are worth the forward’s generous billing, but a road victory today would certainly gain some believers. Inter is coming off of a terrible shock loss to Roma last weekend, but Samuel Eto’o did look fantastic earlier in the week and scored a hat trick in Champions League play.
Final Score: Inter 2-1
Lazio VS Brescia
This match certainly doesn’t have the same name power as the first one, but it does offer two of the league’s hottest teams at the moment. In fact both of the clubs are currently in the top four in the league and are a combined 6-1-3 this season. Lazio is currently in second place and hope to knock the fourth place new boys back down to Earth this weekend.
Final Score: Lazio 1-0
Napoli VS AS Roma
Roma was able to break their dreaded winless streak in impressive form with a critical victory over the Italian treble winners last weekend, but the celebration is over and the side needs to climb out of that relegation zone soon if they still have any top four hopes. This weekend’s away matchup against a sixth place team will be a challenging one for the improving squad.
Final Score: 1-1 Draw
Parma VS AC Milan
Parma has struggled to find form this season and despite the big media buzz AC Milan has looked human so far in their campaign. Many critics and players alike have complained of the squad becoming too one dimensional with the addition of Ibrahimovic and the good news this weekend is that Pato should return to the lineup.
Final Score: 2-0 Milan
