Former Stuttgart midfielder, Sami Khedira, just cares about one thing this season and that’s bringing the title back to Santiago Bernabeu. As Madrid find themselves trophy less for longer than they would have expected, the German midfielder main focus is to end this current drought.
With Khedira part of Mourinho’s starting XI, he hopes to bring as many titles as possible to Madrid. The German native went on to say the following:
“It is always dangerous to believe that you have got it all, and you have reached the highest level in your career. If you stop working on your personal development and improving your game, then you are finished. But now, things are going well for me. Although we have not won anything, we have started the season well in the league and in the Champions League, as well as the Copa Del Rey. At the end of the day, what counts at Real Madrid are titles, I am aware of this and we work every day at our long-term goal – winning as many titles as possible.”
The next battle for Los Blancos will come against Auxerre in Champions League action on Wednesday. Although the importance of this match is said “Not be important for Madrid”, Khedira believes that a win against Auxerre will help give the club more confidence, “I know from the first match that they are a team who are strong on the counter. We must be concentrated to the maximum, and make sure that we do not give them opportunities.”
