Many reports are starting to emerge that Real Madrid is looking into bringing Ruud Van Nistelrooy back to the Bernabeu on a loan but are hitting speed bumps along the way.
Prior to Jorge Valdano stating that the club will begin their search for a new striker, Valdano was quoted to be interested in bringing the Dutchman back to Madrid. However, Van Nistelrooy’s current club, Hamburger, is not to found of the idea of letting Van Nistelrooy return to Madrid, even if it is on a loan.
With the Dutchman admitting that he would love to return to Madrid to replace the injured Higuain, Van Nistelrooy was reported to demand the German club to let him return to the Bernabeu, “If you don’t let me go back to Madrid, I’ll never turn out for Hamburg again.”
It was bold statement from Van Nistelrooy but Joern Wolf (Hamburger Spokesman) refused to comment on the ordeal.
“Van Nistelrooy is in the team hotel. Coach Armin Veh will also put him in the team for the game in Gelsenkirchen [against Schalke] tomorrow.”
Do you think that Van Nistelrooy will be a good replacement for Higuain? Will the 34-year old be able to fit in good with Los Blanco’s? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.
