Nobody likes rumors. Well nobody other then the sleigh people that weave those evil webs of deceit. And like the movie Wayne’s World claims once one person is told the inaccurate information then they tell a few more people. Then those people tell a bunch more and then those people go and tell a bunch more and then pretty soon everybody knows (example Tiger Woods).
Rumors can be spread much easier today then ever before. The internet has become the “word on the street” or the center of “sewing circles” worldwide. Today thousands of people will believe a lie by the click of a button on the mouse.
And a terrible rumor has been brewing regarding La Liga giant Real Madrid. It has been wrongfully reported that Florentino Perez was attempting to sell the club to Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan for one billion dollars. The two owners are known to be close friends, but Real Madrid denied any truth to the story on their official website earlier in the week. Here is some of the statement made by the organization:
Real Madrid wishes to inform: that Real Madrid president Mr. Florentino Perez has had a great friendship for many years with His Highness, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. And that the so-called interest and the existence of any offer to acquire Real Madrid are false. His Highness has always shown tremendous respect for the club and understands that Real Madrid belongs to its members.
And it should be no surprise that the rumor is false. I mean just one billion dollars? Really?
Such a price would pay for Cristiano Ronaldo, but what about the rest of the guys?
