AC Milan beat Juventus 3-0 last night to narrow the gap set by league leaders and arch rivals Inter Milan to 8 points. Juve’s Loss seemed to have been the last straw for their fans as they could not contain their displeasure with head coach Ciro Ferrara any more.
Juventus went into this match after a series of terrible performances. Their last game against Parma offered little respite being that they got away with the 3 points thanks to an own goal.
I don’t know how many times i have said this but it still does not make it less true or more real – Ferrara should have already left the Stadio Olimpico premises by now! The more he stays the more Juve get negative results.The Bianconeri are now officially out of the title race and they can only fight for a top 3 finishing position.
Milan’s heroes of the night were Alessandro Nesta and Ronaldinho. Nesta opened the scoring for Milan in the 29th minute and a brace from Gaucho in the second half was enough to condemn the Turin Outfit to another loss. I have to admit Milan are really showing the kind of form and they are getting the type of results that wins trophies
Inter coach Jose Mourinho should now be very worried of his cross town rivals. In fact when these two teams meet in a couple of weeks in the return derby fixture, you can be sure that it won’t be one way traffic. This will be the title decider and the 4-0 scoreline that Inter grabbed back in September will definitely not be repeated.
