I bet we all saw the picture of a bloated Ronaldinho enjoying himself on the beach doing the rounds on the internet a couple of weeks back. It apparently caused a lot of panic to Milan fans especially considering the fact that he was the club’s best player last season.
However, there is some good news for all Milan lovers as Dinho is said to be making ‘remarkable progress’ in his fitness. The 30 year old play maker has these past few weeks attracted media attention concerning his contract deal with the Rossoneri.
Although no information has been given in regards to the whether Ronaldinho and Milan have reached an agreement concerning a new deal, it is very certain that Dinho will at least see out his current contract.
According to Milan fitness trainer Daniele Tognaccini, Ronaldinho is improving.
“Dinho’ is improving, Since arriving in Milan, he has made remarkable progress.
“Now, his weight is close to what he had with Barcelona when he won the Ballon d’Or, 82 to 83lbs. When he arrived at Milanello two years ago, on the first day he weight nearly 90lbs.”
We all know just how lethal a fit Ronaldinho can be and many are dying to see him regain the fitness he had while with Spanish club Barcelona. Meanwhile, Milan’s new signing Kevin Prince Boateng has for the first time spoken about the competition the Rossoneri are up against this season.
Addressing a conference, the Ghanaian international was quoted as saying he is ready to take Milan to the top.
“I’m not afraid of Inter. If everybody here give 100 per cent, we can win all three competitions,”
“I can play in all positions in midfield, left and right, and this will help me break into the team, although I know that there are great champions here and it won’t be easy to find space.”
It still remains to be seen whether Boateng will break into the first team sooner rather than later. I must admit, Gatusso has been a faithful servant for the club but i think he just does not have it anymore.
Boateng will be a good replacement however, we can only hope that Allegri finds a winning formula immediately as it will be far easier for Milan to challenge for the scudetto rather than rally from behind to try and steal from either Inter, Roma or Juventus.
