Once again rumours surface linking AC Milan star Ronaldinho with a move away from the San Siro. It is becoming very annoying especially for all Rossoneri fans as what they considered an end to this dramatic saga, just took another unexpected twist.
Ronaldinho together with his agent were to meet Milan officials to discuss about the play maker’s future after indications from club president Silvio Berlusconi suggested that the 30 year old would at least see out his contract with the Rossoneri.
Milan through their vice president Adriano Galliani confirmed Berlusconi’s statement saying that no players would be leaving or joining the club after the signing of Genoa’s Greek defender Sokratis Papastathapolous.
With a little over 3 weeks left until Milan kick-off their 2010/2011 Serie A campaign, the doubt and unbelief that this report might cause to the squad is grave.
Globosporte claim that Palmeiras are ready to meet the player’s 8 million Euros transfer fee. Palmeiras are reported to have half of the sum and that the rest will be raised through sponsorship and local business investments.
Excitement is rife in Brazil with Palmeiras defender Danilo already preparing himself to play alongside the star.
“The shirt is going to reserved for him for as long as it takes,” the Verdao man told Globoesporte on Thursday, as the subject inevitably turned to Ronaldinho.
“When this news came out it was hard to believe. I talked to some of the staff and the directors and it left me very happy. He is a player who was once the best in the world, and there is nothing more you can say about it. If he wants to come the doors are open – doors, windows, whatever it takes,” the defender joked.
Such is the appeal that Dinho draws. However, nothing is official and by the look of things, i am still convinced that Dinho will be apart of Milan’s squad until his contract runs out.
