AC Milan forward Ronaldinho says that he is not only confident of making the Brazilian national team squad but that he will also help them win the title they last won in 2002. Ronaldinho who has been at odds with current coach Dunga for a reason not too many people know of, appears to be very confident of making the squad.
Dinho last played for the Selecao in April last year and since then he has been consistently overlooked by Dunga. Now, if you were to look at Dinho’s case objectively, then you would realise that Dunga is being a little bit unfair.
Ronaldinho is the main reason Milan are up to 3rd place in the league. He might not be the player he was 5 years ago but his presence on the pitch can always be felt. Even Ronnie himself cannot imagine a world cup without himself.
“I will go to the World Cup and I will win it, recently I have had problems with the national team, but it hasn’t been my fault.
“I can’t imagine a World Cup without Ronaldinho on the field. It seems impossible to me when I think of not playing.
“I feel bad, really bad. Therefore, I can safely say I will make my country proud in the World Cup and, above all – with my team-mates – I’ll win it.” Ronaldinho said this in article on chi.
Dunga’s key player for the world cup is Kaka. No one doubts Kaka’s abilities however, at the moment, he is not playing his best football. The Real Madrid midfielder has failed to impress ever since his move to the Santiago Barnebeu last summer and with less than 50 days to the tournament, Kaka is in a race to regain match fitness after lengthy injuries have kept him out of competitive football.
Together, Kaka and Ronaldinho do pose a significant threat. We will only have to wait and see if Dunga bows to the pressure and includes Dinho in his squad.
