Pep Guardiola has been hailed as the man who best suits Barcelona but with much interest coming from some top clubs, including defending champions of the Premier League Chelsea, his future was unclear.
However, it looks like Barcelona are looking to keep a strong hold on the man who brought much silverware to Camp Nou as the Catalan club went on to offer Pep Guardiola a 5-year extension. Reports from the ‘The Daily Mail’ confirmed that Barcelona are looking to offer the 5-year extension to Pep hoping to drown out some of the clubs that are on the chase for Pep.
Although Manchester United and Inter Milan are 2 other top-notch clubs who are looking to approach the Spaniard coach, Chelsea seems to be the club who are no the verge of trying something soon.
With Carlo Ancelotti struggling to find Chelsea’s winning ways again, it has been speculated that Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich, is looking to strike a deal to secure Pep. However, with the way things are panning out to be, I definitely see Pep extending his stay with the Spanish Champions.
Think Pep Guardiola will stay with Barcelona or depart to Chelsea? Would Guardiola be a success at Chelsea? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.
