Ricardo Carvalho has been Real Madrid’s latest acquisition as he has been bought from EPL defending champions, Chelsea, for a reported £6.7 million. However, even after the signing of a much needed right-back, it looks like Madrid’s general manager, Jorge Valdano, is not looking to stop there.
“We are comfortable with the team that we have, but the exits and arrivals might not be over” Valdano went on to say after the signing of Carvalho.
The club has already went on to sign 4 other players to the club this summer and with Carvalho being the clubs 5th signing, who else could Los Blanco’s would want to sign?
It has already been stated that Maicon will not be looking to make his way to Madrid, so who else can Valdano be talking about ?
With the club already having signed, Sami Khedira, Pedro Leon, Angel di Maria, Sergio Canales and now Ricardo Carvalho, Valdano has stated that this is still not enough and there is another player that “will fill the bill” perfectly.
Who? Mesut Ozil.
The German star could very well be Madrid’s next signing and should Los Blanco’s be able to acquire Ozil from Werder Bremen, Madrid will be looking to be a very strong team who can not only have a good run at the league title, but the Champions League title as well. Although this may mean that players like Lassana Diarra could be seen with a move away from the club, having finished in 2nd place in the league last year under Manuel Pellegrini, Jose Mourinho is determined to finish in better terms after having taken over the club.
“There could be new signings and the club are open to all different possibilities but I can’t name more possibilities in regards to who.”
