Italian national team coach, Cesare Prandelli, is feeling pretty positive with Gli Azzurri’s chance for the upcoming Euro especially after finding out that one of his main man, Antonio Cassano, is getting better and most likely will be ready to contribute in the competition.
Speaking during his visit to Ac Milan’s training camp, Prandelli is delighted with Cassano’s improvement especially on psychological aspect which the ex-Fiorentina coach considered important in an important tournament such as the upcoming Euro 2012.
Prandelli is also happy that Milan are slowly giving quality playing times for Cassano and the player himself has been responding well with the games his been having as the ex-Sampdoria man can still show his qualities despite having been absent for quite a while. Furthermore, the former Fiorentina tactician also revealed that the Bari native attacker is very motivated at the moment, after knowing that his chance in playing at the Euro has been restored again.
“I’m seeing that Antonio is playing more and more for the Rossoneri. This is important for a player like him. He’s in a good place psychologically. I was interested in coming here so I could see his motivation. I’m satisfied with today’s contact,” Prandelli stated to Milan Channel.
Cassano’s recovery from the minor heart problem he picked up in the early part of this season has really been a surprise not only for Milan but also Italian football as now they might be able to play one of their most important act in the Euro. Many expert previously predicted that the former Real Madrid man won’t have much chance in flying to Poland & Ukraine this summer, but his strong motivation managed to get him back earlier than expected.
Not only opening his chance to play in the Euro, Cassano’s recovery is also helping Milan to fight hard for the Scudetto chase, in this final weeks of Serie A. Although he obviously still lacking a little bit fitness but during his recent substitute performances, the Bari native has showcase lots of promise, especially his creativity and skills that never seems to disappear despite the long absence that he had this season.
