Playing in the same team with a veteran legend always have positive impact for any young talents and that’s pretty much the experience that As Roma’s summer signing, Miralem Pjanic’s is feeling at the moment at his new club.
The Bosnian international revealed his excitement about playing alongside the Giallorossi legend, Francesco Totti, who Pjanic revealed as an exceptional teacher which the young midfielder really looked up on the pitch.
“Totti is an exceptional teacher, as it’s incredible to be training and playing with him. He is a leader, which I knew, but also different to the others. His football is joy,” Pjanic reveals
This statement pretty much underlines the importance of someone like Totti in a team, although many has criticize the veteran skipper because of the common regression on his current performance but people can’t seem to realize that the Rome legend still has something to offer. With the guidance from Totti and also passionate support from fans, Pjanic also believed that Roma can really have a great future this season.
Pjanic is very confident with the recent positive results they’re starting to have, finishing in the top three is a realistic enough target for the Giallorssi, despite the abundance of new young talents in the squad. The Bosnian international also believes that Ac Milan are the main title favorite this season with Juventus and Napoli are the other contenders, while the capital club is believed by the ex-Lyon midfielder will managed to sneak their way between those three clubs.
“We are growing, the performances and results confirm it. I have faith for the future. This is an important project and the team has won me over, not to mention the city. Each day I am more surprised by the passion of the fans. I’ve never seen anything like it,” Pjanic added. “In my view, we can finish in the top three this season. In Italy we consider Milan to be the favourites for the title, but Roma are in there too. It’s a long season and we will have a great campaign. Also watch out for Juventus and Napoli, who really impressed me.
