Pirlo’s Wonder Goal Leads Wasteful Milan to Glory

AC Milan - PSV in San Siro - www.yme.nlAndrea Pirlo starting to show his old self this days as his performance grows a lot, another prove of the midfielder’s improvement was shown as Ac Milan defeated Parma 1-0 at Ennio Tardini this Saturday.

The playmaker hit a vicious screamer from few meters outside of the penalty area and secure an important victory for the Rossoneri that were very wasteful in front on goal today.

Not only scoring a wonderful strike, Pirlo also plays a great game in the game looking just like his old self on the pitch as he was spreading the ball well and also defending his area with authority. The match itself was actually a game that Milan in other days might ends up trashing their opponents apart as the away team create tons of wonderful chances that most of them were amazingly saved by Parma keeper, Antonio Mirante.

Being wasteful surely something that the Rossoneri’s coach, Massimiliano Allegri will be working to fix for Milan’s next games as having a slender lead is not save at all, not to mention in the last few matches the Red and Black squad have been guilty in wasting easy chances. Referring to the game against Parma, the home team were still in high hopes especially in the last 10-15 minutes considering how spoiled the away team in finishing their chances.

Milan strikers could probably claim that they were a bit tired today as they have been having plenty of games before this battle at Ennio Tardini, Allegri’s side have been regularly playing a game in every 2-3 days lately due to their Champions League commitment. However, making things calm, the Rossoneri players should just learn from this game and think of the night as not of of the best for the likes of Ibrahimovic, Ronaldinho, Robinho and even Pato who gets a useful substitute appearance in the second half.

Parma players can consider themselves very lucky as some of the saves that their keeper made were just out of this world, especially three straight chances that were all missed by Zlatan Ibrahimovic. However, the credit to them can probably be addressed as in the last minutes of the game at least they are still trying to do something although it was pretty much helped with Milan misfiring all over the places tonight.

Still, just like I previously mention it looks like it won’t be long before the Rossoneri fans have a bit of the luck in each games and started to banging the goals from all cylinders just as their first serie A game against Lecce this season. Overall, it was a exciting performance from Milan and should they find strikers didn’t forgot to carry their shooting boots, all media might be hailing Allegri’s side performance today.
