Pippo Set 20 Days For Comeback, One More Season Before Retiring

AC MilanMore news arrived from Ac Milan striker, Fillipo Inzaghi, who confirms that he will be able to play again in the remaining match this season although it’s very likely that the veteran striker won’t make it for the upcoming Milan Derby.

Inzaghi, who already started training again recently, previously was being rumored to be fit for the Derby, however the striker revealed that it would at least need 20 more days before he can start playing again for the Rossoneri.

Just as his previous statement, Inzaghi stated that he doesn’t want to rush his come back this time because the injury he suffered is very serious and considering his age, getting back only when his 100% is the obvious choice. The veteran striker also added that his knee is feeling better and when he is ready to play he will do his best in helping the Rossoneri snatch the Scudetto title this season.

“I’ll be back in 20 days to help Milan win, I’m feeling reasonably good. My knee is no longer causing me problems. I think I’ll be available in about three weeks, but only if I’m 100 per cent fit,” Inzaghi said. “I suffered a serious injury and you can’t mess around with these things. In the past after injuries I returned too soon.”

Moreover, aside from speaking about his comeback plan, Pippo also revealed his future ambition stating that should he recover properly from his injury, the veteran plans to stay for one more season at Milan before retiring from football. The striker’s ambition in setting up goal scoring record in the Champions League, has been noted as the main reason that Inzaghi is very eager to play for at least one more season in top flight football despite his age already reached the 37-years-old mark.

My future? If I heal properly then I’d like to play on for one more season here and then end my career with Milan,” Inzaghi added.

After picking up his injury during Milan’s 3-1 victory against Palermo last year, many predict that the striker won’t be able to play again until the season ends as Inzaghi picked up a knee ligament damage that usually takes a while to recover. However, the player’s spirit to get back in the pitch seems to be ultimate weapon that help his recovery process as many people are surprised knowing that Pippo is already close in getting back into the pitch.
