Pippo Inzaghi Picks His Heir At Milan

InzaghiFillipo Inzaghi might not be able to play for the rest of this season due to the operation he required in recovering his knee injury.

However, the veteran striker still try to give a contribution to his club, Ac Milan, by providing them a guide as who should the club’s seek for his future replacement and the player that Pippo suggested is no other than the Rossoneri’s youth product, Alberto Paloschi.

Inzaghi, who will be operated soon in Barcelona, stated that even though Paloschi is just coming back from a long injury, the co-owned Parma-Milan player will be able to fill in the boots that Pippo left at Milan. Considering his current age, the former Juventus striker seems open to every possibilities that he might not be able to play competitive football for the Rossoneri so advising in a young talented striker might definitely be a fine solution.

“If I have to be replaced then there is nobody better than Paloschi – even if he is coming back from an injury,” Inzaghi said.

Paloshchi himself is a pretty well known name for Milan fans as he broke into the footballing scene as a young striker that managed to score few important goals for the Rossoneri during Carlo Ancelotti era. However, with plenty of competition, the young player eventually accepted a co-own deal with Parma in the Summer of 2008 where he showed a pretty good impression earlier on helping the Gialloblu return to Serie A.

Unfortunately, after his pretty good first season in Parma, injury problems started to struck the Italian u-21 international and from last season to the early part of this year the striker has been spending more time in the treatment room rather than in the field of play. Surely getting Paloschi in the winter would be a gamble for Milan as the striker has only recovered from injury and haven’t really had decent playing time as just yet, but considering the fact that the Rossoneri only needs a backup striker the chance is always there.

The biggest issue left at the moment is probably whether Paloschi himself wanted to comeback this early? The young striker has always stated that he would only return to Milan when he feels he is ready for the challenge. The fact that he hasn’t really established himself at Parma could give a huge doubt on the player himself on whether he could actually break into Massimiliano Allegri side just to get some playing time he needs to grow as a youngster.
