AC Milan’s hottest property Alexander Pato revealed that he would only leave Milan for Spanish giants Barcelona. Speaking to Eurosport.it, Pato stated that he was happy to be a Milan player but were he to leave the San Siro, then his preferred destination would be to Barcelona.
“If one day I leave Milan then I would like to play for Barcelona,” Pato told the press, as reported by Eurosport.it.
“I am honoured by City’s offer, but I am a Milan player and I am fine here.”
After being linked with a move away from Milan to Manchester City in the summer, Pato has made it clear that English football is not his cap of tea when he turned down a 75 million Euro transfer offer.
We all know what Pato’s statement can do and you can be sure that come January, he will be the player Barcelona will be after. All it takes for reports and rumours to start flying around is a remark like this.
That said, Pato was on the target for Brazil on Thursday as they beat Iran 3-0. This was his first goal since returning from an injury that kept him sidlined for close to a month with Milan.
