Nesta To Leave Milan

AC Milan defender Alessandro Nesta will leave the Rossoneri at the end of the season this is according to fellow team mate Thiago Silva. Nesta is one of the club’s all time great players and losing him will be a big blow for the club.

Nesta’s contract runs out on June 30th and there is a feeling that the iconic defender will decide to call it a day and hung his boots. Its not quite clear if the 34 year old will totally retire from the game however, should he decide to do so, then he will most probably take up a technical role at Milan.

Speaking to Sportitalia, a sad Silva revealed that this could be Nesta’s last season.

“I am sorry for Nesta because I think this will be his last season here,”

“I will be very sorry if he leaves us.”

Meanwhile, after impressing against Auxerre in their midweek Champions League Fixture, Milan coach Masimiliano Allegri is expected to start Ronaldinho in their weekend league match against Sampdoria.

Ronalidinho was barely on the pitch for more than 10 minutes but his culling goal toward the end of the match gave Allegri the reassurance he needed to give the play maker a start this weekend.

This presents another headache for Allegri. Should Allegri rest Robinho or play an all attacking formation with the trio? Milan have the depth to become the most feared club in the league.

Inzaghi and Pato might be injured but together with Ibra ,Dinho and Robinho could become the best Milan line up in recent years. With Dinho coming back to form, recent  speculation about him leaving the club has been put to rest.

The pressure is on Milan to beat Sampdoria and continue their impressive form and a slip up might not be costly now, but could prove to be as the season wears on.
