A surprising and interesting transfer move occurred on the last few days before the transfer market closed as reports from Italy confirmed that Inter Milan have decided to loan out Goran Pandev to Napoli for a season long, after talks happened pretty quick on Friday.
Pandev, who previously is determined to stay with the Nerazzurri, revealed that he is very happy with the transfer and looking forward to contribute plenty of things with his new club, who will also play in the Champions League this season.
“I’m happy that I’ll have the chance to play in the Champions League for such a club as Napoli. I didn’t want to leave Inter, but this will be a new experience for me and the most important thing is that I’m happy.
In fact, I’m extremely happy,” Pandev revealed.
Napoli have also confirmed the loan move on their official site late on Friday night, making the Macedonian proves of the Partenopei’s high ambition in doing well in the league and also Europe this season. Aside from Pandev, previously the Partenopei have already brought in several important addition to the squad such as Gokhan Inler, Mario Santano, Blerim Dzemaili and Marco Donadel, but it seems they still need experienced addition to help them in Champions League.
Heavy defeat against Barcelona in a friendly cup last Monday simply triggered the warning sign for the Partenopei as they must do better to compete at high level competition such as Champions League. The fact that Napoli are being paired with top clubs such as Bayern Munich, Villarreal and Manchester City pretty much give plenty worries for the Southern Italian side as they obviously want to give a battle instead just participating in the competition.
