Big talking Ibrahimovic will want to put his nightmare debut behind him as the Rossoneri prepare to host French Side Auxerre at the San Siro tonight. The Swede has become the laughing stock for cross town rivals Inter Milan after an embarrassing debut that saw him miss a penalty.
Ever Since his move to Milan, Ibra has been quick to blast former clubs Barcelona and Inter Milan for what he terms unfair treatment during his time as a player for both clubs. Ibra even went a step further saying that his new club would sweep all teams in the Serie A and win the scudetto.
Of course all this big talk ended when he fluffed his shot. As much as i am a Milan fan, i must admit it was rather funny that he could not put his money where his mouth was. One person that was very happy with Saturday’s loss was his former employer Massimo Moratti.
“Ibrahimovic’s penalty? Under a certain aspect it was the perfect day for Interisti. He hit the post, perhaps he never made a mistake, but he failed to score,” Moratti told the club’s official website.
“I saw the game and it was interesting. I was curious to see it.”
Ibrahimovic will definitely want to make up for Saturday’s loss in front of his home fans with a goal tonight. Auxerre might be a very strong side but, the San Siro has always been faithful to the Rossoneri.
