The future of Riccardo Montolivo at Fiorentina looks set to meet its end after the player received jeers from the Viola fans and also have been stripped of from his captaincy, which reportedly disappointed the Italian international.
This difficult situation reportedly has now influenced the player’s departure as the news in Italy suggested that Ac Milan are getting really close in sealing the player’s contract after agreeing a personal agreement already.
Rumors have been building up heavily stating that the Rossoneri are currently negotiating terms with Fiorentina boards and an agreement might be reached should reports claiming that the Viola’s asking price around 10 million Euro is true. Milan’s management are rumored to be valuing the Italian international in the range of 8 million, which isn’t that far from the asking price that the Florence based side placed.
Although several rumors also suggesting that Antonio Cassano might be included on the deal, but it’s very unlikely that such deal happened simply because Milan’s coach, Massimiliano Allegri, still seems determined in keeping him and that Montolivo’s price is currently not that high. Although being touted as a talented player and an Italian international, the former Atalanta youth player can’t be sold for much considering the fact that his contract will end in 2012.
A clear information about this strong transfer rumor should emerged soon as the player didn’t join the team’s photo shoot for the new season, indicating the management are already preparing a season without the creative midfielder. Milan themselves are looking for a creative outlet after Andrea Pirlo’s departure and recently Allegri’s positive words for Montolivo could be a strong indication in which path will the Rossoneri take.
