Milan Tracking Dzeko Again?

AC Milan - PSV in San Siro - www.yme.nlAfter having been linked with many new strikers in the past few weeks, the latest report from Italy suggested that Ac Milan could return their old flame for Wolfsburg striker, Edin Dzeko, who was the Italian club’s number one target last season. This news occurred after the Italian press stated that the Bosnian international who has been linked with a move to Manchester City and Juventus asked to wait for the Rossoneri’s offer before negotiating with other clubs.

“I am bombarded by offers, but I will wait another week for Milan,” Dzeko reportedly said to his friend

This statement arose the speculation that Milan will probably make a final offer once again to Wolfsburg as their bid to finally acquire the 24-years-old striker signature and let him fulfill his childhood dream, which is playing for the Rossoneri. The Italian giant reportedly is planning to sale some of their players such as Klaas Jan Huntelaar, Ronaldinho or maybe Gennaro Gattusso to fund the deal for Dzeko.

The problem in acquiring the player’s signature is solely on his club’s demands that is a bit ridiculous as they reportedly wanted a sum of 40 million for their hot property, despite the fact that Dzeko hasn’t fulfilled all of his potential in a bigger stage as just yet. Surely with the way the German club reacted, City would be the only team that have the economic potential in fulfilling Wolfsburg’s demands, however Milan have the benefit of doubts because of the player’s personal wish to wear the red and black jersey.

At the moment the best scenario that would be possible for the Rossoneri is by including their midfielder, Gattusso, who reportedly is also being wanted by Wolfsburg, as part of the deal. By adding the Italian international in the transfer bid, Milan might have a shot in convincing the German club’s stubbornness of keeping Dzeko despite the non stop effort the Diavolo Rosso did last summer.

It looks like the Bosnian persistent dream in playing for his boyhood club could be the strong factor for the transfer to happen as Wolfsburg management might finally give up on their effort of keeping the talented striker. Reports stated that last season both Milan and Dzeko have actually agreed personal terms, however the proposed transfer fails apart due to the German’s club unwillingness in giving away the 24-years-old player to the Rossoneri.
