Ac Milan are setting their sight back in Spain, not only because of their upcoming Champions League tie against Barcelona, but also to hunt for potential new signings in the summer as report confirmed that they’re tracking Valencia’s left back, Jordi Alba.
This news is being revealed by Alba’s representative himself, Vicente Fores, who also revealed that Alba is not the only Spaniard that Milan are monitoring, naming Villarreal’s Bruno Soriano as the other.
“Jordi Alba? It is true, I can confirm that we are in contact with Milan, also for Soriano of Villarreal, who is another represented by me, Initially with the Milan club there has been only brief contact, but I think that within 20 days to a month maximum, we will meet with [director Ariedo] Braida. I don’t know whether this will be in Spain or Italy,” Fores told Calciomercato.it
Alba is really a hot property at the moment with the likes of Barcelona also showing strong interest on him, but it’s not just with the Catalan army that Milan must be competing as in Italy, the Rossoneri must also face Napoli’s challenge. Fores has also confirmed the interest of both Barca along with the Partenopei and also Manchester City on his client, but the Rossoneri still have a strong shot especially if the Red and Black squad can offer an interesting proposal when the meeting happens.
Heading into the final year of his contract, Alba’s price could easily go down but should the interest from big clubs rises, he could easily go to the highest bidder instead. The agent himself still refusing to answer the question about his client’s price tag, stating that it’s a very inappropriate thing to reveal at the moment, especially since the competition is still far from over.
Napoli’s interest in Alba? Yes, there have also been talks with the Neapolitans, but it is normal because we are talking about a very strong young man, born in 1989, with a great future ahead of him.I stress that he is also followed by Manchester City and Barcelona. A price for Soriano and Alba? I prefer not to dwell on this aspect, it would be unfair for the players’ clubs, Valencia and Villarreal,” Fores stated.
