Having been hit with many rumors regarding the future of their two Brazilian stars, Ronaldinho and Thiago Silva, Ac Milan finally feel the need to reconfirm the duo’s status by releasing an official statement that those players will not be sold.
“Milan reconfirm that both players, Ronaldinho and Thiago Silva, are not for sale,” the note from Ac Milan’s official site’s said.
Milan will certainly hope that their official statement could ease up the press speculation regarding the club’s two precious assets that have been highly linked with a move away from the San Siro. Ronaldinho, reportedly is being targeted by Palmeiras and LA. Galaxy recently after reports stated that the player haven’t signed his extension with the Rossoneri.
Meanwhile, Silva has been strongly linked with Spanish giant, Real Madrid, that reportedly have been making an offer to Milan which has been rejected by the Rossoneri’s director. Not only that, the 25-year-old defender himself in a recent interview has confirmed that he will be staying with the Italian giant at least until his contract ends in 2014.
Not only trying to shut down the media speculation, Milan’s official confirmation about Ronaldinho and Silva should also give a little bit of fresh air to their fans as those two players are considered as important act for the club. The Brazilian players were undoubtedly play a huge part in the Rossoneri’s achievement in getting the third spot in serie A last season and even manage to get a shot at the title before the team were struck with injuries.
Surely the Milan director should be aware that in this difficult financial moment, they need to keep hold of their influential players in the club unless they already have a proper replacement for those players. At this moment, there’s no sign that the Rossoneri can really purchase a suitable replacement for both Ronaldinho and Silva, so the fans can rest assure for the time being as they won’t be loosing their idols at least for this season.
