Champions League action resumes today and tomorrow and the match many are waiting for with bated breathe, takes at the San Siro tomorrow when AC Milan host Real Madrid in the return leg fixture of their mammoth clash.
Two weeks ago Madrid emerged victorious when they beat the Rossoneri 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. This loss was further compounded when Juventus beat Milan at the San Siro 2-1 to reduce the Milanisti’s points margin over them to just 2 points.
A lot has been said and will continue to be said concerning this match with analysts and pundits giving statistics and opinions on what both coach should and shuoldn’t do but it all boils down to who will emerge with the 3 points.
Madrid are already assured of a spot in the knock out stages, however, for Milan nothing other than a win is needed for their progression to the next stage.
Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri knows this all to well and he will be looking to turn his sides fortunes against a tactically superior and mentally prepared Madrid. Of course Milan have the talent to match side in the world, however what they lack is a proven formula that allows them to maximise it to their advantage.
Madrid lead Group G with 9 points 5 ahead of both Milan and Ajax who are level on 4 points. French outfit Auxerre are last with no points. Ajax travel to France to face Auxerre and Milan will be hoping they can do them a favour by beating Ajax to relieve the pressure on their hopes of progressing to the knock out stage.
