Milan Keen On Ending Chievo’s Good Run

Milan are looking to bag all three points when they host high flying Chievo Verona this Saturday at the San Siro. Chievo are currently 5th in the league 1 point below the Rossoneri after an amazing start to the season.

With Milan seeming to have found some headway with new coach Allegri after a tumultuous start to the season, there is a lot optimism in the team ahead of the clash.

One player who has impressed and is oozing confidence ahead of this match is Ghanaian international Kevin Prince Boateng. Speaking to Milannews the 23 year old stated that the match against Chievo was a must win.

“We want to win against Chievo and then get ready for Real Madrid, which will be a very difficult match. The team is in good condition and is ready for the two encounters.”

Of course, next week’s Champions League clash against Real Madrid is a match that is keenly being awaited for obvious reasons. Both teams together have won the tournament an impressive 16 times.

Last year Milan had the edge over Madrid winning at the Bernabeu and drawing at the San Siro, however, with good signings for both teams during the summer, the match could go either way.

Cristiano Ronaldo will be available(unless he suffers a freak injury this weekend) after missing out the first leg tie last year. With Ibra and Robinho and Dinho all fit and Pato back to scoring ways, Milan are looking very strong.

Meanwhile midfielder Massimo A mbrossini is expected to be back from his injury soon. Although it is unlikely that he could be back for the Chievo match, their is a lot of optimism that Ambrosini could return fro their midweek fixture against Madrid.

Ambrosini picked up a knee injury in Sptember during their Champions League match with Auxerre. His injury was expected to keep him out for 3 weeks however, that was not so. The skipper should be fit for Tuesday’s match.
