Milan Continue Winning Run at Parma

Ac Milan continue their Scudetto campaign with another important three points on the weekend after beating Parma 2-0 in a pretty tricky situation as the match didn’t really looked that comfortable for Milan.

However, the champions mentality looked really attached already with the Rossoneri as despite some scares that the Ducali provided, Massimiliano Allegri’s team still ends up as the winner with goals from Zlatan Ihrahimovic and Urby Emanuelson.

Eying to maintain their gap at the top from second place side, Juventus, Milan were obviously looking for all three pints at Ennio Tardini, however, the home team didn’t plan to gave in easily as they fought vigorously. Roberto Donadoni’s team actually puts on lots of pressure for the defending champion, especially in the first 15 minutes where they managed to create couple goal scoring chances through Sebastian Giovinco and Valdes.

However, one break away with practically their first goal scoring chances in the game, Milan eventually struck the blow after Ibrahimovic netted his 20th league goal from the penalty spot. The Rossoneri earned the spot kick after Christian Zaccardo handled Emanuelson’s shot in the penalty area, leaving the referee without any choice beside to give the punishment for the Ducali, who didn’t really protest much.

The goal softened Parma’s effort as Milan started to dominate and created much more dangerous goal scoring chances, although there were still some trouble on the visitor defense. Ibrahimovic and El Shaarawy had several chances in extending the scoreline but combination of unluckiness and great performance from the home team’s goal keeper, Antonio Mirante, kept the score line tight until the second period.

Right after the re-start, Parma once again tried to put on the pressure on Milan but just as the first period, that spell of good effort simply ended when the Red and Black squad netted their second. From the counter attack, Emanuelson received the ball in the midfield and simply run through the defense along with Mirante before slotting the ball home. Ibrahimovic was in an offside position when the goal happened, but the Swedish didn’t made an effort to get the ball, so was being considered innactive.

Milan should have sealed the game after that second goal especially with the chances created by Emanuelson and Ibrahimovic, but poor finishing and another brilliant display from Mirante gave some lifeline for the home team. In the final 10 minutes, Donadoni’s boys gave all of their best effort in trying to hurt the Rossoneri but luck wasn’t really kind to them as they also missed several good scoring chances.
