Messi shares his feelings about playing alongside Rooney

With rumors continuing to rise about the possibility of Wayne Rooney making his way to Barcelona, Messi went on to share some of his feelings with the Daily Star Sunday about his arrival at the club.

Rooney has been struggling to make an impact for England in the World Cup and with his outburst toward the English fans after the disappointing tie with Algeria,  I wouldn’t be surprised if he decided to make the switch to Camp Nou where he will be welcomed with open arms.

Here is the video of Rooney’s outrage following the tie with Algeria :

A switch to La Liga and a dominating performance in La Liga like he has done in the English Premier League, will definitely have him down as one of the greatest players to play the game. It is not easy for a player to able to dominate in different leagues around the world. With the many different playing styles between La Liga and the Premiership, it’s no easy task to dominate in both leagues.

However, Messi believes that Rooney will be able to dominate with Barcelona if he were to make the switch.

Messi went on to say the following to the Daily Star Sunday :

“It would be a dream to play with Rooney if Manchester United ever came to the point where they needed to sell him. I would personally go to the Barcelona president and ask that he be signed myself. There are always a handful of players in the world at any one time who can go down in the footballing history books. At the moment, there are maybe (Cristiano) Ronaldo, Rooney, Xavi and one or two more – but I can’t think of one that plays with the desire of Rooney. We all know football players at the top level are blessed with high wages, it’s no secret, but Rooney would play for €100-a-week. You can see the fire in his eyes. It’s that fire which makes him the best of the best.”
