Javier Mascherano already made it known to it’s club, Liverpool, that he wishes to leave the Reds in hopes in joining Barcelona and one player from Barcelona that hopes in having Mascherano with the club is Lionel Messi.

“He has the quality to play for us.” said Messi in regards to Mascherano.

Although there is no doubt that Mascherano would be a good fit with the Spanish champions, it has also been said that Inter Milan were looking into signing him as well. However, no deal has been made with the  Argentinian as it may look like he will be staying with the Reds.

The transfer window is still open until August 31st so there is still plenty of time for any club to try and acquire the service of Mascherano but the club that I think will be signing the midfielder is Barcelona as they were very interested in having him at Camp Nou in the past.

Having played alongside Mascherano in Argentina, Messi went on to say that he knows that he can play with Barcelona and will be a great fit with the club. “The ‘little captain’ would be a great boost for Barca. He has the quality to play for Barcelona and his character would fit in perfectly at the club.” Although Barcelona did put in an offer for Javier in the past, they could very well make a greater offer.
