It was Christmas time in-deed for the fans of Madrid as Benzema and Ronaldo both netted hat-tricks in yesterdays Copa del Rey match. A dominating performance from Los Blanco’s, Jose Moruinho did not take this match lightly as he started Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, Who was reported as doubtful for yesterdays match. Both Ronaldo and Benzema combined for a total of 6 goals as Mesut Ozil and Pedro Leon also found the net for Madrid.
Although you have to feel bad for Levante who head into their winter break after a embarrassing performance, they will hope to find some redemption when they meet Madrid again at the start of the new year. Playing in the Cuitat de Valencia, Levante will need to change strategy if they hope in cracking through the defense of Madrid who kept them scoreless despite finding the net 8 times.
As for Karim Benzema, he has to be feeling good after his impressive performance and the fans definitely appreciated his effort as Benzema received a tremendous ovation after netting his 3rd goal in the match.
“It was a very good game for us, and in the end, I have three goals. People wanted us to show them what football is, and we have demonstrated this. Real Madrid also have the ability to score six, seven or eight goals. I don’t know if it was my best match for Real Madrid, but I will keep strong and working hard. I want to win the Copa del Rey because it is an important trophy for everyone.”
