Real Madrid-Mallorca
Real Madrid blew a chance to move into a share of the lead last week in their 0-0 match against Osasuna and this weekend they need to prove that they can rediscover the back of the net against a strong fourth place squad in Mallorca. I would bet that they do score plenty of goals considering that los galicticos are playing at home and desperately need a win to stay within contention of first place. Ronaldo is back in the lineup and looks to remain that way, so Madrid is a tough team to bet against in the Match of the Week.
Final Prediction: Real Madrid 3-1
Barcelona-Tenerife
The best football squad in all of the world gets the pleasure of playing against a near-relegation bound squad this weekend as the treble winners face the newboys in Tenerife. I would be surprised if Tenerife survives the cut this season and playing Barca so late in the season means that their chances just got that much tougher. I think it will be a better game then it will get credit for being, but Barca is obviously the favorite (considering they are the best team in the world) and unfortunately for Tenerife they still haven’t cloned Lionel Messi which is their only chance at beating the returning champs.
Final Prediction: Barca 2-0
Deportivo La Coruna-Osasuna
Deportivo is still in the hunt for top six results and Osasuna is coming off of that impressive draw with Barca, but this week you have to go with the home squad. Deportivo will be tested despite the home field advantage, but Osasuna lacks the firepower to make a significant difference on the road.
Final Prediction: Deportivo 2-1
