Atletico Madrid-Valencia

Got to love those matches between offensive juggernauts and this week is a special one.  Valencia has impressed this season and they possess the third best offense in the league which is a spot that many thought belonged to Atletico before the season began.  But can the home defense do what no one has been able to do this season and contain David Villa?  I doubt it simply because Villa has had a wonderful year and has been unstoppable; whereas the Atletico defense has been anything but spectacular this season.

Final Preditcion: Valencia 3-1

Villareal-Deportivo La Coruna

The same rule that applies to Atletico this season also applies to the Yellow Submarines.  The club is tremendously talented on offense, but major defensive lapses have occurred way too often to be successful this season for the young squad.  This week they get a chance to knock off a big club and move up the board though if they can stay in the match with Deportivo.  I like their odds of doing that with the home field advantage on their side.

Final Prediction: Villareal 2-1

Barca needs to keep their 2 point pace over los galicticos and this week they should be able to with a match against a lowly Malaga squad.  You can’t bet against last year’s treble winners especially when it comes to league play.  The powerhouse squad has only lost a single match this season and that might be how the season ends for the dominating club too.  Barca wins easily this week.

Final Prediction: Barca 3-0
