LLTO La Liga Top Performers

The forgotten man in Real Madrid’s offensive rotation reminded La Liga fans that he is still among the best goal scorers.  With Cristiano Ronaldo out for a while it is Raul’s time to shine and prove once again in his career that he is as valuable as any player on the squad.  Also the old man is in the running for LLTO Best Player 32 & Over.  His two goals last weekend against Valladolid didn’t hurt either.

Walter Pandiani

Pandiani is making Osasuna a threat for any team to play.  Reeling Atletico Madrid discovered this theory over the weekend when the main man put in two goals and sealed the 3-0 victory.  Pandiani has five goals on the year and is among the league best in total goals.

Miguel de las Cuevas

After a slow start to the year Sporting Gijon’s de las Cuevas has been the hottest offensive player in the league the last two weeks.  Two goals a week ago against Mallorca got the ball rolling and this last weekend de las Cuevas would double that total with two more goals against Atletico Bilbao.  The midfielder is simply on fire right now.

Aritz Aduriz

Mallorca’s Aduriz has silently put together a strong start to his 2009 campaign. The key player would score twice as well last weekend against Getafe and he too is currently at five goals this season which is among the best goal totals so far this season by any player on any team.

Ivan Alonso

Keeping up with the theme of the week Espanyol’s Alonso would also score two goals in front of a pleased home crowd in their brand new stadium.  Espanyol would go on to win over Tenerife 2-1.
