Deportivo La Coruna-Valencia
Valencia has been one of the best squads in the world recently and look to avenge their loss to Real Madrid a week back at home by beating a strong Deportivo squad. With a victory at home this week Deportivo could potentially leap frog their way to fourth place on the league board. I wouldn’t count Valencia out despite losing a week back. They are flat out one of the best teams in the world over the last few months.
Final Prediction: Valencia 2-1
Sevilla-Getafe
All Sevilla should want for X-mas is the arrival of Luis Fabiano onto the pitch. But it looks like the Brazilian national star will have to wait until January to make an impact for Sevilla with that injured ankle. Getafe has been fairly inconsistent this year offensively and will be tested by playing against one of the toughest defenses in La Liga year in and year out. Getafe is (2-0-5) at home this year and I would predict that they will suffer another loss on the road this weekend.
Final Prediction: Sevilla 1-0
Athletic Bilbao-Osasuna
The seventh ranked Bilbao squad host eleventh ranked Osasuna this weekend in a match of two tough defensive squads that are known to play for low scoring results. Bilbao has actually been better on the road then at home this season, so this one isn’t your usual home team has a huge advantage type of match. Osasuna should stay in the match and it will likely go down to the very last minute.
Final Prediction: Athletic Bilbao 1-0
