LLTO La Liga Matches Of the Week

Real Madrid-Atletico Madrid

Real Madrid has been nothing short of spectacular this season considering they have a first year coach that is still installing new tactics into the club each week, but this week the league’s hottest offense will have the challenge of facing another one of the elite offensive forces in the league in Atletico Madrid. Real Madrid has been deadly at home with a perfect record and the most impressive goal differential of any team (+14) plus Ronaldo is currently enjoying a ridiculous goal streak. But Atletico Madrid does have a lot to play for this week with the top four possibly in sight with a win.

Final Pick: Real Madrid 3-1

Villarreal-Athletico Bilbao

Villarreal’s Rossi and Bilbao’s Llorente are two forwards often linked with big transfer moves to powerhouse clubs in Spain and Italy and no wonder why: both men have six goals this season and lead their teams in the statistic.  But Llorente will have a tremendous challenge this weekend of trying to score the first goal of the season against Villarreal at home. The Yellow Submarines are 4-0 in front of the home crowd and currently in third place and only one game out of first place. 9th place Bilbao have struggled on the road like most teams do, but are also among the better offenses in the league with 17 goals this season.

Final Pick: Villarreal 1-0

Getafe-Barcelona

Barcelona is renowned for their brilliant form in the Nou Camp, but this season they have actually been a more impressive team on the road with a 4-0 record. Getafe has been pretty awful on the road, but the good news is that the 10th place side is playing at home this week where they are a strong 3-0-1. The bad news for the middle of the pack squad is that they haven’t played Barca yet this season, so they should expect to add another home loss to the standing this week.

Final Pick: Barca 3-1
