It’s gonna be a showdown this weekend in Spain as arguably the best La Liga defense plays against arguably the best La Liga offense. These two clubs only have one loss between the two of them and Sevilla is red hot right now and playing the best football they have so far during the short year. Real Madrid is obviously playing strong as well and Ronaldo’s club does not want to lose their perfect record so far this season. This one should go down to the wire and whoever wins will likely be in at least second place at weeks end.
Villarreal-Espanyol
What is going on with Villarreal so far this season? The club is surprisingly among the worst clubs in all of the Primera Division and currently resides in nineteenth place with only two points earned on the year. Espanyol is going through a similar problem, but they actually are improving over the last few weeks and currently reside in an expected tenth place. If Villarreal can’t begin winning matches that they are supposed to then they may stay down in the relegation zone all season long. But this home match offers a temporary way out of the abyss.
Valladolid-Athletic Bilbao
A few weeks back everything was perfect for Athletic Bilbao and they were 3-0 and held a share of first place. But those close margin of victory wins might have been a fluke and the club has lost two in a row now. On the road against a beatable opponent in Valladolid might be the perfect cure for an ailing team.
