Leonardo Could Steal Ganso From Milan’s Sight

Ac Milan and Inter Milan are battling for the Scudetto this season but that’s not the only thing they are fighting about as the two city rivals are also involved in a transfer battle to acquire the service of highly rated talented Brazilian midfielder Paolo Hendique “Ganso”. As the battle for getting the Santos player’s signature gets tighter, Milan’s defender, Thiago Silva, revealed a unpleasant news for the Rossoneri fans by saying that the Nerazzurri’s chances in getting his compatriot might be a bit bigger because of Leonardo’s effect.

According to the Rossoneri’s number one center back, Inter’s current coach, Leonardo, is a very smooth negotiator that knows his way in persuading players, as Silva himself also went on to choose Milan back than because of the Brazilian coach’s intervention. The defender revealed that Leo was the one that really managed to persuade him in choosing the Red and Black squad instead of the Nerazzurri, way back before Silva was still playing in Brazil.

“Unfortunately, it won’t be easy to convince Ganso to turn down Inter with Leonardo there. He always has the right words. I’ll reveal a little secret: before signing for Milan, I was in negotiations with Inter. Well, Leonardo started calling me on the phone. He talked about the team, Milanello and my future,” Silva said. “After a few weeks of this, I slammed the door on Inter and signed for Milan. I think he’ll take the same approach with Ganso.

Silva’s worries surely doesn’t automatically rules out Milan’s chance in signing Ganso as the defender along with his Brazilian friends such as Alexandre Pato and also Robinho could always promote their club vigorously. More than that, the Red and Black squad also have plenty market experts that could always challenge any persuasion made by their ex-employer, Leonardo, whose status in the Nerazzurri are not entirely save as just yet because anything might still happen in the end of the season.

However, Silva’s words might just be his warning sign for Milan’s management as if they are serious in getting Ganso, the Rossoneri should make a stronger effort because with Leonardo working in the other side of the city, things will not be easy. One thing for sure, all the current speculation about the Santos’ talent won’t really mean a thing as everything can only be settled in the summer when the transfer market re-opened again for the new season.
