Kjaer Promises Derby Revenge After Mistake Against Lazio

Lazio vs AS RomaBeing called as one of those highly responsible for As Roma’s recent Derby defeat against Lazio, obviously isn’t a comforting condition for Simon Kjaer, who got send off in that intense game, thus allowing the Biancocelesti getting back into the match.

The Danish international acknowledged the fans disappointment with that result, and in order to make things up, Kjaer, promised that he will do his best in giving a victory for Roma in the next Derby game.

Kjaer revealed that he really is disappointed with himself, especially knowing how important the Derby result for Roma’s die hard fans. The Danish international stated his apology while admitting that it’s also a pretty stressful event for him as the defender took some god advice from close people to eventually get over the mistake he made on that Derby match.

It was a bad time for me and two really tough days. Fortunately, my family helped me get through it. I was above all upset for the fans who cared so much about this very important game, but now I feel better. We have to look ahead to beating Palermo. After that I am already focusing on the next derby and winning that one for all the Roma fans,” Kjaer said. “So many people came to reassure me over the last couple of days. They said I have to look forward and not think about it anymore.

Not trying to make any aliby, Kjaer admitted that it really was a mistake made by him in fouling Christian Brocchi inside the box, albeit it wasn’t actually a smart thing to do by the Danish international. The former Wolfsburg man also confessed that he did stretched his arm towards Brocchi, and the Lazio veteran midfielder, was smart enough to react quickly after the Denmark center back dragged him down.
