Kaka Happy With Contribution for Madrid, Warned that the Job Isn't Done Yet

Having been performing well recently, Ricardo Kaka continue to provide the goods for Real Madrid as he become an important act in Los Blancos’ 3-0 victory over home team APOEL Nicosia in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Coming in as a second half substitute, the ex-Ac Milan star inspired Los Blancos to victory after providing an excellent assist for Karim Benzema and also scoring the team’s second which simply ended APOEL’s resistance.

Commenting about his performance, Kaka revealed his joy of being able to contribute for Madrid’s victory, despite only playing as a substitute. The Brazilian revealed that he was being sent on to the pitch in an attempt to provide new approach after the difficulties that his team were facing and fortunately things went well for Los Blancos in that match.

“Marcelo and I came on to try different things. I’m happy for making good use of the playing time I had and for helping Real Madrid decisively. I gradually make more use of the chances I get. I play more some times than others, but I’m happy with the victory,” Kaka said.

Although already carrying more than just a positive result on the first leg, the Brazilian star still reminded his teammates that their job isn’t done yet simply because there’s a second leg to be played. Kaka said that Madrid does have a strong advantage but they must keep their focus in the return tie since APOEL already shown that they can actually be a troubling side, although it obviously isn’t enough to challenge the La Liga giant.

“We knew of the difficulties we would face against APOEL. They’ve reached this far for a reason and have done well. This is only the first match and this isn’t over yet. We have the advantage in the tie, but we have yet to play the return leg.”

Kaka who has been plagued by injuries in his early seasons with Madrid apparently has started to find his form again this time around as he already got more playing time and becoming much more decisive for Los Blancos. Should the Brazilian managed to maintain his current showing until the end of season, the rumors regarding his potential departure might be wiped up easily since he will definitely be needed by the Galacticos.
