Juventus vented their anger of failing to win in their last three games on to Fiorentina, as Antonio Conte trashed out of form Viola’s side 5-0, a pretty rare scoreline considering the inconsistent form from Juve’s front players this season.
The victory kept their margin with first place Ac Milan remain on four points, but their troubles could eventually starts next week when the schedules gets tougher with the likes of Inter Milan, Napoli, As Roma all awaits them.
Playing right after knowing that Milan won their game against Parma actually made Juve looked rather nervous, but fortunately Fiorentina were also in a horrendously poor form not to mention playing without their best player, Stevan Jovetic. Although causing some problems for Conte’s team in the beginning, the Viola started to get on trouble when the visitor netted their first goal through Mirko Vucinic.
However, it was the dismissal of Alessio Cerci did simply started Fiorentina’s collapse on that game, as they were force to chase the game with only 10 men on the pitch, something that’s obviously too difficult for an out of form team. The Turin giant took full advantage of the situation and extended their lead not long after Cerci’s sending off as Arturo Vidal scored after receiving Vucinic’s cut back right in the 28th minute.
The Turin giant added three more goals in the second half, starting with Claudio Marchisio’s header once again from Vucini’s cross from the left side of the area. It was a rather poor mistake from Fiorentina who were pushing forward to hard right after the re-start, completely neglecting their defense, despite only playing with 10 men, giving Juve too many space in countering the Florence based side.
Andrea Pirlo netted his second goal for Juventus with a very rare open play goal when he run into Vucinic’s pass before chipping Artur Boruc on Fiorentina’s goal. Another prove of Pirlo’s renewed motivation which could be strongly related with the upcoming Euro 2012 tournament and having to play in a new surrounding after a rather comfortable time at the Rossoneri.
Conte’s whining should eventually stop this weekend as his team netted their fifth after substitute Simone Padoin tapped in an easy goal, capitalizing on Pirlo’s blocked effort inside the penalty area. An important victory for the Bianconeri, which might temporarily stop their controversial effort in trying to justify several previous poor results.
