Juventus Keen To Land Dutch Specialist Hiddink

Juventus seem to be actively searching for a coach who can guide the team to a decent finish in this season’s Serie A title campaign. After being bundled out of the Champions League and subsequently displaying poor results in the league, Juventus coach Ciro Ferrara’s future in Turin is surely coming to an end.

After failing to convince former Brazilian National coach Luiz Felipe Scolari to join the Bianconeri, Juve have now turned to Hiddink. There is no doubt that Guus is an exceptional coach. His success rate is very impressive and this Dutch magic might just be what Juve need to improve their image.

Hiddink has coached some of the biggest clubs in his career and the task at Juve will definitely be right up his alley. His last coaching stint was with Premier League club Chelsea and he did a marvelous job in helping the club finish in second position behind Manchester United. The ionical thing is that his predecessor at Chelsea was in fact another of Juve’s coaching prospects – Luiz Felipe Scolari.

Lying 3rd in the league, Juventus are out of contention for the Serie A unless totally lose the script in this next half of the season. After suffering embarassing defeats to leauge minnows Bari and Catania, Juve will surely want to restore their  pride and hope that Hiddink can repeat the feat he did with chelsea.

However, Hiddink’s agent Cees Van Niewenhuizen has rejected reports that Hiddink will move to Italy in January. He claims that He has not received any official offers from Juventus. Hiddink is at the moment on holiday in Kenya until the 10th of January after which he will be expected to make a decision on his future.
