Juventus Eyes Pazzini Swoop In January

Grazie al PazzoDespite already making lots of signings in the summer, it looks like Juventus still have a plan to make another purchase on the January transfer market as they reports stated that they are looking for a new striker.

The Italian press suggested that the Bianconeri’s failure in landing Marco Borriello on the last day of the summer transfer window have pushed the management to set up some new targets for the winter.

Some of the names that Juventus are targeting in January are, Sampdoria’s Giampaolo Pazzini, Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema, Anderlecth’s Romelu Lukaku and also Tottenham Hotspurs, Jermaine Defoe.

Italian paper, Tuttosport, claim that among those targets, Pazzini would be Juve’s main target as the Bianconeri’s new coach Luigi Del Neri already had the experience of coaching the Italian international last season in Sampdoria. The striker has actually been a prime target for Juventus this whole summer, however the Blucerchiati’s involvement in the Champions League qualifying round made the Genoa based club decide to keep him.

Now with the fact that Sampdoria failed to qualify for the Champions League group stage, there’s a big chance that the club would accept Juventus’ offer in the next transfer window. Rumors stated that to prize out Pazzini from the Blucerchiati, the Bianconeri’s management would need to prepare a sum of 25 million Euro.

The good relationship between Sampdoria and Juventus that have started from the summer after the Genoa based club allowed two important staffs, director, Bepper Marrota and coach, Del Neri moved to Turin could easily continue with Pazzini next winter. Should the Bianconeri fails to land the Italian striker, Benzema could be considered as the next strong target because of the Frenchman’s bad relationship with Madrid’s new coach Jose Mourinho.

Should Pazzini join Juve next winter it will definitely packed the Italian international that the Bianconeri have on their squad this summer as previously they have already purchased the likes of Alberto Aquilani, Fabio Quagliarella, Marco Motta, Leonardo Bonucci and Simone Pepe. However, before the Turin based club thinks about a new striker, they will need to focus on their league form as they made a terrible start of the season after loosing to Bari 1-0.
