Juve Leads the Serie A as Milan Gets Closer While Inter Halted

La Juve derrotando al InterWednesday’s results in Serie A didn’t changed Juventus’ temporarily reign in the top of Serie A, after the likes of Udinese and Lazio both failed to pick up three points against their opponents on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Ac Milan continue to rise up on the table with another convincing victory against Parma, but their city rival, Inter Milan didn’t have the same story as they stalled by Atalanta this Weekend.

Juventus’ 2-1 victory over Fiorentina on Tuesday prove to be decisive for Antonio Conte’s boys in making up their ground in the top of the table at least until the weekend, where they will be facing a tough away test against Inter in the Derby D’Italia. Alessandro Matri’s winning goal on that game pretty much decided the result for the Bianconeri after Leonardo Bonucci’s early goal for the home team was canceled out by the Viola’s star man, Stevan Jovetic.

Leading the table before a tough away game is definitely a big mentality boost, especially knowing that Inter still haven’t managed to get consistent result in the league after surviving a scare against Atalanta on Wednesday, where their keeper, Luca Castelazzi, saved a penalty in the last minute to deny the home team. Wesley Sneijder took the lead for Inter on that game midway in the first half, but German Dennis, who missed the important penalty in the end, scored an equalizing goal before the first half ended. The draw result is obviously cherished by the Nerazzurri as they could’ve easily dropped all three points which would really shocked them ahead of the clash against Juventus.

In the other match, Napoli’s 2-0 win over Udinese pretty much became the result that helped Juventus in preserving their lead in the table and the Turin boys obviously should be thanking Ezequiel Lavezzi and Christian Maggio, who both scored the goals on that match. However, those at the top have to start watching the defending champion, Milan’s movement as they started to collect important points and are only two points away from the league leader.

Massimiliano Allegri’s team put another four goals passed their opponents but this time in a much more controlled fashion as they beaten Parma 4-1 in San Siro with Antonio Nocerino picking up a surprising hat-trick. Zlatan Ibrahimovic bagged the other goal which is also his second in the new season, while the visitor got a consolation goal from their star player, Sebastian Giovinco, who collected his sixth this season.
