The latest transfer news coming from Juventus’ camp, seems giving a sign that they will not continue their interest in landing CSKA Moskow’s winger Milos Krasic as the media reported that the Italian giant have already signed another winger Jorge Martinez. The news regarding Martinez’s transfer was revealed by Catania’s administrator Pietro Lo Monaco, without confirming the actual fee required by Juve to snap the talented winger.
“Jorge Martinez is a Juventus player, So we must say ‘goodbye’ to him. want to complement Jorge because he will wear the shirt of a very important club,” Lo Monaco stated.
This transfer would automatically cancels any possible move for Krasic, as Martinez would be the second winger that Juve has bought this season after they previously snap up Simone Pepe from Udinese, earlier this month. Confirming this opinion, Vlado Borozan, an agent that represent Krasic’s deal with Italian teams has also stated that the deal with Juve is most likely off as there’s no chance that the Biaconeri would buy another winger after acquiring Martinez and Pepe.
Although there’s always a possibilities in football, the fact that Juve doesn’t want to pay the sum that CSKA wanted for Krasic and went on dealing with Martinez instead pretty much shows that the Turin based club isn’t that high on acquiring the Serbian winger’s signature. Personally as I already mentioned, not getting the 25-years-old player wouldn’t be a disaster for Juventus as they already have other players that plays on the same position and also cheaper.
Both Martinez and Pepe maybe not as much hyped as Krasic who did well for Serbia and CSKA last season, however his current performance in the World Cup hasn’t really set the world alive especially his disappointing showing against Ghana. The winger did improve against Germany, but before Miroslav Klose gets red carded I still didn’t see anything special from Krasic , not that he’s not good but I just feel that the Old Lady’s fans should not thing that it’s the end of the world for them.
