Being highly trusted by Fiorentina for the upcoming season, despite spending most of last term on the treatment table, gives a sentimental feeling for the Viola’s young starlet, Stevan Jovetic, who vows his loyalty to the club.
The Montenegro international, who is given the vice-captain role for the new season, ensured the fans that he is going nowhere and will give his best for the Florence based club, aiming to provide titles in the future.
Jovetic felt really honored of being given such a special treatment by his club as at such a young age, only just returning from a massive injury and not actually a veteran at Fiorentina, he already being heralded as the vice captain after Alessandro Gamberini. More than that, the club also plans to built a team with the Montenegro player as the main leading man, this kind of trust pretty much what convinced the talented player in committing his future to the Viola.
“I have received a lot of messages from fans who have asked me to stay at Fiorentina. I’m very happy here and it is an honour for me to be named as the new vice-captain of the team by the Coach. My desire is to continue wearing the Viola jersey and to win as much as possible with this club,” Jovetic revealed.
This season is also being marked by the attacking midfielder as his redemption year after spending the whole part of last season in the treatment table and unable to help his team, who were having plenty problems in the league. After the departure of Adrian Mutu, Gaetano D’agostino and also potential moves of Riccardo Montolivo, Juan Vargas along with Alberto Gilardino, Jovetic definitely becomes the main man that the Viola hopes can lead their way back to glory again.
Before picking up a horrible injury that forced him to be sidelined for a season, Jovetic is being highly rated as one of the most promising talents in European football with important clubs such as Ac Milan, Barcelona, Manchester United and Real Madrid are following him. However, the youngster did opted to stay at Florence before the nightmare arrive during last year’s pre-season, where an injury simply rules him out to make any appearances for Fiorentina.
