According to The Sun, David Gill is in Spain today trying to tie-up the signing of Udinese winger Alexis Sanchez.
Why Spain you ask, Isn’t Udinese an Italian team? Yes, but it happens that Udinese’s President Gino Pozzo lives in Barcelona.
Barcelona and Man City have been rumored to be leading the chase for the £27million Sanchez, but he seemingly prefers a move to Old Trafford instead of the Eastlands.
Sanchez is also said to believe that he has a better chance of playing every week for Man United than he does in Barcelona.
Sanchez is in Chile getting ready for the Copa America which kicks off next month. I would expect that the Sanchez transfer is completed before that tournament begins, because neither Man United, Man City or Barcelona will want this transfer saga to drag on into August.
waiting on United and Udinese sorting out the fee. He is in Chile but has been given permission by his national team to fly off and sign for a new club before Copa America begins in July.
