Inter Milan’s plan in acquiring Giuseppe Sculli, who has been touted as Mario Balotelli’s replacement, reportedly is facing a slight delay after Genoa refuses Inter’s latest offer.
According to La Gazzeta dello sport, the Griffone doesn’t feel that the Nerazzuri’s proposal of 5 Million Euro plus the ownership of midfielder Victor Obinna is something profitable for them.
Despite of the current delay, should Inter are really serious in their attempt to purchase Sculli the deal could well be finalized in the next couple of days considering the good relationship between the two clubs. Not only that, previously Genoa president, Enrico Preziosi already stated that the 29-year-old striker’s move to Inter is just a matter of time and that the Griffone are more than prepared to part ways with their versatile striker.
However, should for some reason the deal somehow fail to happen, the Italian press believes that Inter will eventually try to lure Liverpools’ Dirk Kuyt to San Siro. Kuyt himself has always been known as one of Rafael Benitez’s favorite players and he has never rule out the possibility to reunite with the Dutch player.
In truth many Inter fans probably doesn’t quite get the reason that their club picks Sculli as the main candidate to replace Balotelli especially considering the Nerazurri’s past transfer strategy that usually involves the signing of hyped players. However, just like many other clubs, the Nerazzuri are currently trying to ensure that their financial status is in a good balance before the Financial Fair Play regulation start.
