Ibrahimovic Still Misses Derby But Back Against Fiorentina

Pato e IbrahimovicAc Milan effort to reduce Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s receives a positive news as the Disciplinary Comission cut down the Swede’s previous three match ban, however the striker will still be absent at the upcoming Milan Derby as he only got one match cut.

The decision though means that Ibrahimovic will be able to play again when the Rossoneri face Fiorentina after the Derby, which would be crucial as the Viola have been improving a lot this season and the ex-Barcelona man’s availability could really help Milan’s course.

Although the decision still stops Ibra from playing in the Derby, but being able to at least play in another tricky game against Fiorentina actually gives lots of advantage for Milan as seeing from the defeat against Palermo, they could really use Ibrahimovic to play against a team that are playing well lately. Moreover, having already forced to rest for few weeks now, the big Swede could be back to his best and that would definitely boost up the Rossoneri’s chances again to keep their place at the top of the league.

Even though the result from the Derby will be very important for the Scudetto race between both Milan and Inter, should the Rossoneri managed to come out with a positive result against the Nerazzurri, surely Massimiliano Allegri’s team are back on the running seat again as the strongest candidates to win the Scudetto. The reason for that is because a fresh Ibrahimovic could really be decisive for the Rossoneri in getting important points in the remaining fixtures after the Derby, not only that Ibra’s availability is also followed with the possible return of other important players such as Andrea Pirlo and Massimo Ambrosini, who have already started training again.

After getting the pressure mounting for them in the last few weeks, Milan could be in the verge of turning things back on their advantage again starting from next week when they host their local rival in the Derby. A win or even draw on the game could still be enough in pushing their title bit this season after being considered wasting them in the last two weeks, with the draw and defeat that the Red and Black squad against their opponents that cost them a potential seven gap lead over Inter turned into just two points before the big match clash against their neighbor on April 2.
