Ac Milan’s Brazilian forward Ronaldinho has broken the silence on his future at the San Siro this, at least, is according to his close friend Ernesto Bronzetti. The 30 year old who is one of the club’s best paid players earning a weekly wage of 135,000 million Euros officially told the club that he is determined to stay and see out his contract.
The Ronaldinho scenario has no doubt been and continues to be one of the big talking points in the transfer market. Leading the Rossoneri to a decent 3rd place finish in the Serie A last season, Dinho impressed even his critics with his razor sharp passes and goals that helped Milan clinch a play-off for a champions League spot next season.
With 12 league goals and 14 assists (the most by any player), Ronaldinho exhibited the kind of form that won him the world player of the year title twice. Dinho’s statement therefore should be good news to the anxious Milan fans who are tired of losing good players to other club’s.
Dinho had been linked with a number of club’s in both his native Brail and Europe with the likes of Manchester City, Olympiacos, LA Galaxy and Palmeiras the most notable. However, a word of caution to all Ronaldinho and Milan fans myself included, Ronnie himself is yet to make the annoucement and until i hear it from the horses’s mouth i still have my reservations.
Speaking to sportsmediaset.it,this is what Ernesto Bronzetti had to say:
“I spoke with De Assis, and Ronaldinho is not thinking about leaving. From what Milan know he wants to stay,” he told Sportmediaset.it.
With a couple of weeks left until the Rossoneri start the new season, it remains to be seen whether Milan will try and entice him with an improved deal or whether they will still negotiate for a pay cut.
