Gremio Claims Ronaldinho Deal

RonaldinhoThe soon to be officially confirmed arrival of Antonio Cassano at Ac Milan, looks set to close the door on Ronaldinho’s career at Rossoneri as the Brazilian has not been considered as first team starter in the last few games by Milan’s coach, Massimiliano Allegri.

This conditions sparked the rumors about the former Barcelona stars’ future destination and after several candidates, latest reports suggested that the 30-years-old former club in Brazil, Gremio, could be the superstar’s next destination.

The reports about Gremio’s possibility in signing Ronaldinho emerged after the Brazilian club’s president, Paulo Odone, confirmed to the press that his club has completed the talks regarding personal terms and what’s left is only Milan’s agreement. Reports claim that Odone is offering a contract worth around 3,5 million Euro per/season plus performance-related bonus which might be enough considering the player’s personal wish in returning home to his native country.

“It’s all decided between Gremio and Ronaldinho. All that remains is for his agent Roberto De Assis to negotiate freeing him from Milan,” Odone said. “ important thing is that Dinho wants to come home.”

This decision might be the most suitable decision for the player himself as returning to Brazil where the pressure in consistently giving your best is not as high as in Milan, could really give the second wind that the player has been looking. The Brazilian’s form this season have been similar too a roller coaster ride with so many ups and downs, unfortunately most of his disappointing games were against the big guns which pretty much gave him a bad mark in Allegri’s eyes.

Milan themselves seems content with Ronaldinho’s consideration to leave the club as even their owner, Sivlio Berlusconi few days ago stated that the Brazilian hasn’t been at his best this season and might be leaving soon. Another hint regarding the former Barcelona player’s future comes from the Rossoneri’s director, Leandro Cantamessa, who stated that the arrival of Cassano may indeed forced the 30-years-old to make his way out of Via Turatti.

“The players(Ronaldinho and Cassano) do more or less take the same role, so it could be an understandable club decision. Besides, the Coach has made it clear what he thinks,” Cantamessa said.
