Fernando Torres feels ready to go a full 90 minutes

Fernando Torres has been trying to battle his way back from a knee injury and although Torres was able to see the field for Spain against Switzerland and Honduras, Torres has yet been able to go a full 90 minutes.

However, in a recent recent interview, Torres went on to state the he is ready to play a full 90 minutes and is positive that the knee injury is no longer an issue for the Liverpool FC star.

Fernando Torres went on to say the following to AS :

“I played 70 minutes and the good news is I feel ready to last for 90 minutes for the first time since my recovery. “

“[David] Villa and I have said we understand each other perfectly and hopefully we can play together again, although we’ve always said that if we don’t then it doesn’t matter as long as the team works well. Our defeat against Switzerland was already water under the bridge, we talked about it and it’s not logical to look back. We played in the same style as we played against Switzerland, we attacked and played short passes. This first group of games is very difficult, we still have a match to play against Chile. Being world champions is a long way down the road. Not just for any national squad, but in terms of time as well, there is a long time to go before the final and there are many matches to play before then. At the moment we are focused on Chile, beating them and moving on to the next round.”

If Fernando Torres can get back into his old form again, there is no question that Spain would be that much more of a threat. Fernando Torres is just to good of a striker to not cause problems for any defense in the world. However, Do you think Fernando Torres will be able to go a full 90 minutes next match? Think Torres can find his old touch in time to help Spain in the World Cup?  Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.
